Fraternal Order of Eagles (F.O.E.) is an international fraternal organization that was founded on February 6, 1898, in Seattle, Washington by a group of six theater owners including John Cort (the first president), brothers John W. and Tim J. Considine, Harry (H.L.) Leavitt (who later joined the Loyal Order of Moose), Mose Goldsmith and Arthur Williams. Originally made up of those engaged in one way or another in the performing arts, the Eagles grew and claimed credit for establishing the Mother's Day holiday in the United States as well as the "impetus for Social Security". We are a Non-Profit Organization that helps various local charities within Colorado Springs and surrounding areas.
We promote awareness of different charities and assist the needs of the many in our local communities; from local school children in need of winter attire or food donations, to helping a local family with costs for cancer treatments. Our goals include promoting charity fundraisers for Alzheimer's Foundation, finding a cure for Diabetes, helping find a cure for Leukemia, providing awareness for American Heart Fund, and more.
In addition to our International Mission, our local area mission is to instill camaraderie in others through volunteering in our local community to help where we have the ability within ourselves to help.
We are PEOPLE HELPING PEOPLE.
By raising funding for both research and local community support, and by offering that help within our local areas, we work from all angles to assist in making our local communities healthier and happier.
We offer numerous volunteer opportunities. As a member of this organization, we offer both Aerie and Auxiliary membership to those who enjoy giving of their time to the betterment of our local community. We hope you'll come check us out and join us at one of our events to see how well we support our local community. We'd like to get to know you. It's a great way to network with others and build lasting friendships with both individuals and businesses. Together, we can make a difference.
We are an ever-growing group of volunteers who believe in helping others in our community. We believe in the term "People Helping People" to make our corner of the world a better place to live.
